Beyond Trends: What Gen Z Is Really Changing About Weddings

The conversation right now is that Gen Z are reshaping the wedding landscape. In truth, every generation has done the same, influenced by the culture, technology and emotions of their time.

What feels different about Gen Z is the pace of change they’ve grown up with. Digitally native, they’ve experienced both rapid technological evolution and a growing awareness of the need for deeper, more meaningful connection.

Running a wedding design studio, my experience as a trend forecaster comes into its own. I don’t follow trends, I look for the shifts beneath them: the changes in behaviour, values, emotions and expectations that shape how couples want to celebrate their story. This helps me anticipate challenges, minimise risk and, most importantly, respond thoughtfully to each of my couples without making assumptions.

Because Gen Z are far from a single mindset.

They use technology instinctively, but not blindly. They seek reviews, reassurance and small moments of delight. Many are experiencing digital fatigue, craving authenticity, human interaction and relationships that last. They are conscious consumers, aware of their social and environmental impact, and open to doing things differently.

I see this reflected in my couples.

Each of you want to share their story in a way that feels personal and meaningful, creating moments of connection and memories that will last a lifetime. For you, immediacy isn’t about instant results. It’s about reliable communication, thoughtful guidance and consistent touchpoints throughout a bespoke journey.

You value craft, understand that quality takes time. And you recognise the emotional power of storytelling, and of hand-drawn artwork created just for you.

No matter the generation, I take the time to truly know each couple, so your story can be told with care, intention and authenticity.
